The Southern Technical University organized a Quranic forum attended by the president of the university, Prof. Rabie Hashem Al-Abbasi, some of the deans of the university’s formations, professors and a group of students in honor of the heroic martyrs of Iraq. The gathering began with a blessed recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the recitation of the blessed surah Al-Fatiha for the souls of the martyrs, after which Al Abbasi recited a word at the beginning. Iraq will defend its human history and tolerant faith, adding that we must strive to build the homeland and enhance its scientific and cultural standing among the countries of the world, just as the martyrs wished. Then, in the Qur’anic assembly, decisive verses from the glorious book were read, to conclude the assembly by praying to the martyrs of the homeland for eternity and mercy, and to our wounded for a speedy recovery.
