Basra Engineering Technical college, in the Southern Technical University, celebrated the Iraqi Women’s Day in recognition and appreciation of women’s efforts and creativity in the areas of life and their responsibility in raising and building society. The celebration witnessed poetic and literary paragraphs and the screening of documentaries documenting the distinguished role of women in building society, as well as their great leadership and performance in human development.
The Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Adnan Abdullah Ateeq, praised in his speech on the occasion the efforts of the female employees working in the college, stressing that the educational institution, like the rest of the institutions, depends very importantly on women and their humanitarian giving in accomplishing tasks, pointing to the importance of the achievement presented by women working in various aspects of life, congratulating at the same time their valuable efforts and for taking responsibilities in the administration, pointing out that the college is working to provide full support to meet their aspirations and achieve their ambitions
