As part of the university’s keenness to maintain the quality of academic and professional education, the university presidency organized a committee to organize visits to the laboratories of its colleges and technical institutes with the aim of conducting comprehensive maintenance of the safety of buildings, infrastructure, electrical, medical and engineering devices. This visit comes as part of the university’s strategy to ensure the safety and efficiency of the work environment in scientific laboratories in order to support the educational and research process and keep pace with the development of work The team visited
I Basra Medical Institute – Department of Pharmacy Technology on Tuesday 9/24/2024, which was formed by Ms. Fayhaa Fadhl, Director of the Internal Audit and Control Department, Ms. Sahar Abdul Razzaq and Ms. Atyaf Asaad
from the Chemical, Biological and Radiation Safety and Security Division, and Ms. Maryam Muhammad, Head of the Joint Center for Coordination and Monitoring Unit. During this visit, the condition of the laboratories of the Department of Pharmacy Technology was evaluated and what maintenance or replacement it needs was determined, in addition to updating the protocols
related to periodic maintenance. The team also discussed the points that were fixed during the visit with Dr. Alaa Al-Nahi, Dean of the Medical Institute and Head of this Committee, to find appropriate solutions for them.
These steps are necessary to ensure that laboratories are equipped with the latest technologies, which enhances the ability of students and researchers to conduct their experiments effectively and safely.
