The Division of Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up at the Southern Technical University, in coordination with the oil Technology Company for Oil Services, conducted a test for 100 graduates from the Basra Technical Institute for the last three years in the specializations of mechanics, electricity, electronics, and chemical industries, as well as surveying and civil technologies. This test comes in light of the actual need for the aforementioned specializations for the purposes of work and employment. The President of the University, Professor Dr. Rabie Hashem Al-Abbasi, reviewed the details of these tests, stressing the importance of granting equal opportunities to all through transparency and accuracy of the tests, thanking at the same time the cooperation of the Oil Technology Company on this important initiative. For his part, Director of the Continuing Education Center, Dr. Maher Talib Abdul Zahra, stated that this activity is the first during the current academic year and will be followed by several activities focusing on preparing students for the labor market and searching for job opportunities for them in various sectors.
