The President of the Southern Technical University, Professor Dr. Rabiee Hashem Al-Abbasi, participated in the celebration organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to honor the students who won the Higher Education Reading Award, in the presence of a large crowd of public and private university professors, teachers, and students. His Excellency the Minister, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, opened the honoring ceremony with a speech in which he stated that the award, in which more than forty-two thousand male and female students registered, contributed to achieving the cultural awareness responsible for promoting productive and creative thinking trends at the individual and societal levels, now and in the future, adding that the competition’s message has been achieved. Through a distinguished group of preliminary studies students in public and private universities, indicating at the same time that its impact will be clear in enhancing awareness and protecting society from the effects of superficiality that target our children through the consumption of content with negative content. The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, concluded the ceremony by honoring the students who won the Higher Education Reading Award, which amounted to one million and five million for each winner, expressing at the same time his congratulations and thanks to all the winners, participants, the supporting universities and colleges, and members of the organizing and technical committees, who presented an effort worthy of praise and appreciation.
