The Department of surveying technologies at the Shatra technical institute within the Southern Technical University held a scientific course for the Department’s employees on the use of the cadastral global positioning device. The course, which was attended by the head of the department fares Ismail Ibrahim, included the introduction of the GPS system
GPS plus the idea of the system’s work
The course aims to train the Department’s employees on how to use this device, as well as to introduce its importance, which has become widely used in mapping, land surveying, tracking, monitoring and its uses in many other military and civilian fields. For his part, the dean of the Institute, Prof. Dr. Muwaffaq Abdulaziz Al-Hasnawi, praised the organizers of this course and its scientific importance for the participants, pointing out that scientific development is progressing at an escalating pace towards progress, so it has become important to keep up with it to make the most of all scientific programs and experiences
