The Engineering Technical College of Maysan within the Southern Technical University discusses organizing a seminar on intellectual deviation and ways to counter it

The Technical College of Messiaen within the Southern Technical University organized an awareness seminar through which intellectual deviation and ways to counter it were discussed. The seminar, which was attended by Ali Karim Shajar, a lecturer at the Faculty of law, included an interlocutor, including the definition of intellectual deviation, knowledge of the causes leading to it, in addition to explaining its effects on society in general and on the family in particular, as well as the measures to be taken to reduce this phenomenon and ways to confront it. The seminar aims to promote and encourage work within a sound social environment, and the importance of family care for its children and raising them properly to prevent them from deviation that they may be exposed to. The seminar concluded with the importance of adopting research and studies that would encourage the fight against terrorism and discourse leading to deviation, and emphasizing the active participation of students in student activities, conferences and cultural meetings, as it encourages adherence to prevailing social values and traditions
