After that, the meeting discussed suspending specializations that are not suitable for the labor market and discussing directing innovations towards technical education, and a proposal that the number of technical universities be double the number of academic universities.The subject of calendar exams was also discussed.
The supervision of the projects of graduate students inside and outside Iraq was also discussed, as well as the instructions for scientific promotions, the study of the subject and proposals.
The Council reviewed the report of the Labor Market Survey Committee in Maysan Governorate, as well as the book of the Studies and Planning Department in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to indicate the possibility of creating a college or technical institute in the district of Suq Al-Shuyoukh in
Thi Qar Governorate and within the geographical area of our university.
After that, the council completed the other items on its agenda and took the necessary recommendations and decisions.
