The Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mahmood Salem Thamer, and the Director of the Office of the President of the University attended the activities of the Women’s Media Division at the Holy Hussainiya Shrine for female students in Iraqi universities.
The celebration , which was attended by the representative of the supreme religious authority and the legal guardian of the Husseiniya holy shrine, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalai, witnessed the honoring of many representatives of universities as well as Iraqi university female students.
Sheikh Al-Karbalai, during his speech at the ceremony, clarified that the goal of embracing such competitions is not just to obtain prizes, but there is a greater and deeper goal than that lies in the fact that building a person who is able to make a successful life depends on two basic pillars: knowledge and education, and we all know the importance of science, including science. At the end of the ceremony, the university delegation honored the participants with books of thanks and appreciation in evaluation of the role of the Southern Technical University and its active participation in the activities of the holy shrines. This university delegation included Dr. Alaa Kadhim Al-Dirawi from the Health Technical College, Mr. Haider Jerry and Mr. Dhiaa Amer Taleb, as well as the head of the Media and Public Relations Division at the Technical College Administrative Basra.
