The Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof.Dr. Alaa Farid Abdul Ahad, participated in the meeting of the Steering Committee of the Qualifications Framework for Technical and Vocational Education Tevet2. Which was held in the capital, Baghdad. The meeting discussed focusing on skills development through capacity building for students, who are the target group for technical and vocational education and participants in the training programs of the Ministry of Labor. The meeting concluded by laying out the mechanism and plan for implementing the project’s path for the subsequent period, after it had been diagnosed and reviewed for the previous period.The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, The concerned advisors in the Council of Ministers and the advisor to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as the four technical universities and the Technical Education Authority, in addition to the directors working in each of the ministries of higher education and scientific research, planning, education, and labor. And the representation of the UNESCO office in Iraq and those in charge of the project.
