تسعى المجموعة للاستفادة القصوى من الكوادر العلمية والبحثية المتخصصة والمتميزة ضمن قسم  تقنيات الهندسة الكهربائية في الكلية التقنية الهندسية- بصرة وتشكيلات الجامعـة التقنية الجنوبيـة في تقديم الاسهامات البحثية والتكنلوجية المبتكرة في المجالات ذات الاهمية الأستراتيجية العالمية وبناء الشراكات الفاعلة والتعاون مع الجامعات والمجاميع البحثية المناظرة وقطاعات الصناعة محليا” واقليميا” ودوليا”.

  • ايجاد بيئة علمية وبحثية واعـدة لتنفيذ المشاريع البحثية الاصيلة في مجالات تقنيات الهندسة الكهربائية المتقدمة.
  • توفير الحلول المبتكرة والفعالة للتحديات الخاصة بالتقنيات الحديثة ذات الاهمية الاستراتيجية في القطاعات الصناعية والتجارية وجوانب الحياة العصرية.
  • توظيف النشاطات العلمية والبحثية المتخصصة لبناء شراكات محلية واقليمية ودولية بعيدة المدى.
  • تقوية التعاون والتكامل في حقل المعرفة مع الجامعات والمؤسسات المختصة لتلبية احتياجات البلد وحقل العمل.
  • تشجيع مشاريع البحث العلمي في التخصصات المترابطة ضمن الجامعة ونشر النتائج المتحققة في المجلات والمؤتمرات الدولية الرصينة لضمان الظهور والتميز على النطاق الدولي نحو التصنيفات الاكاديمية المعتبرة.
  • توفير بيئة مناسبة لمشاريع طلبة الدراسات العليا والباحثين والاستفادة من الخبرات المتوفرة في المجموعة لتنفيذها ونشر وتسويق نتاجاتها البحثية والتطبيقية المبتكرة.
  • تنظيم المؤتمرات والورش والندوات العلمية المتخصصة على النطاق المحلي، الاقليمي، والدولي لتعزيز السمعة الأكاديمية للجامعة.

Biography

Prof. Walid A. Al-Hussaibi (IEEE S’07-M’12-SM’17) received the BSc and MSc degrees in Electronics and Communications from the University of Basrah, Iraq, in 1991, and from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), Jordan, in 2000, respectively. In 2007, he received his Ph.D. in Wireless and Mobile Communications from Sussex University, UK. In 2012, he joined the Southern Technical University (STU), Iraq, as a faculty member, where he is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering Techniques (EET), BETC. He is an Editor of the IEEE Access, IEEE TechRxiv moderator, and group leader of EETRG.

Research Interest

5G & Beyond wireless communications, massive MIMO, multiuser MIMO-NOMA, multicarrier systems, chaotic communications, physical layer security, channel modeling, capacity and performance evaluation, new modulation schemes, and multiple access techniques for future wireless systems.
